The University of Florida Pre-Certification Program in Health Care Risk Management is designed to prepare working health care and risk management practitioners with the training necessary to enhance their professional development opportunities in the fields of health care risk management, patient safety and continuous quality improvement. This program is approved by the Commission on Health Care Certification for those seeking to become Certified Health Care Risk Management Specialist.
The program is entirely self-paced with an instructor of record who is available to answer any questions you have about the course material. Lectures for this program are presented in Microsoft PowerPoint flash. After reviewing the lectures participants are required to complete a set of assigned readings and upon completion of reviewing all the lectures and assigned readings each participant will complete a multiple choice final exam.
This pre-certification program is designed to require 60 contact hours to complete and upon completion participants are awarded a certificate and six CEU units. The course has an open enrollment period so you can register at any time.
The program is approved by the International Commission on Health Care Certification for CHC re-certification.

What if I need to withdraw?
A tuition refund will be granted after written request for withdrawal from a course within 30 days of enrollment. This request must be in writing, and may be sent by fax, email, or U.S. mail. All requests will receive written responses. Refunds will be the amount of tuition, less a $50.00 processing charge. Allow four to six weeks for refund checks. No refunds are granted after 30 days.
How long do I have to complete a course?
For the 60hr Professional course you 6 months from the day you receive your login instructions to complete the course.
